Faith Sharing Question:

July 6,  14th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Matthew 11:25-30

In today’s Gospel Jesus says a prayer of thanks to the Father for those who follow him with childlike faith and an open heart. Jesus tells us that he himself leads people to the Father and shows us what the Father is like. He invites us to come to him without fear, for he is meek and humble of heart, and will gently teach us to be like him. He invites us to trust him completely.

Can you think of a time or situation when someone had to trust you? Why did that person have to trust you? How did you react — or reward their trust? Have you ever had to trust someone else? Why did you have to trust that person? How did the other person react to your trust? When we trust Jesus/God, he responds by being gentle and loving and, in the process, teaches us to trust him and learn from him even more.

Please contact Tricia Boyle at tricia@queenofpeacesalem.org with questions on any of the above activities!
