Adult Faith Formation

1.    Whole Community Faith Formation We are now offering opportunities for Adults of all ages to learn about their faith and grown in their spiritual lives nearly every Sunday! Click here to learn more about this unique opportunity!

2. Throughout the year we also have a number of Small Church Groups that meet in various locations, at various times, covering a multitude of topics, in a variety of formats. Many meet in parishioners’ homes and some here at the Church. A few groups that meet here at the parish and are open to new members are our Women's and Men's Bible Studies. The women meet Wednesday mornings 9:20-11:20am or on Wednesday evenings from 6:45-8:30pm. The men also meet Wednesday evenings 7:00-8:15pm. Currently we also have a group that meets to study the Catechism of the Catholic Church on the first & third Tuesdays of the month. If you would like more information about any of these opportunities to increase your faith knowledge and get to know fellow parishioners, please contact us at your convenience.

3.   Over the past few years we have also invited a number of speakers to our parish to share their expertise on various topics and we have most of these presentations recorded. If you are interested in listening to a recording of one or more of these presentations, I can make you a copy. To see a list of the recordings scroll further down this page.

4.    For those of you who have been a way from the Church for a while, we are glad you have made it to our webpage and we welcome you! If you are looking to explore your faith and relationship with Christ - Head and Body - (God and the Church), please consider joining a small group of Catholics in a safe, supportive, no-pressure atmosphere where you can share your challenges, insights, and questions concerning the Church. To learn more, for yourself or someone you know, please contact our parish office. Thank you.

5.   Do you know someone who may be interested in learning more about what it means to be a Catholic Christian? The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) offers time to ask questions, reflect on Scripture, experience & learn more about Catholic rituals and teachings and how they reflect God's love. You may now begin this program any time of the year, just get in touch and I'll give you the details.

RCIA is for those who are:

1.   Not baptized

2.   Baptized in other Christian traditions and now interested in the Catholic Church

3.   Baptized Catholic and are now interested in completing the Sacraments of Initiation (Confirmation & Eucharist)

* We’re also looking for a few dedicated Catholics (who’ve received the sacrament of Confirmation) who are willing to journey with some of our newest parishioners in the RCIA process. This is a great opportunity to serve while learning more about your faith!

Hospitality Ministries present the

Queen of Peace

“Supper Club”

Purpose:

Purely social.  SINGLES & COUPLES WELCOME.
We are all “Many members, yet one body in Christ”.  It’s hard to love a God whom we don’t see until we love our neighbor whom we do “see” (know).  Let us “break bread” with one another on a social level in our homes, so when we gather at the Eucharist, we will have so much more to celebrate with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Period:

October 1st to August 31st. Gather at least four times per year, preferably more in each others homes at times decided upon by your group.

Players:

Eight diners (couples & singles) per “Supper Club Group”.
(Adults only: High School grads & above please)
Names will be placed in a basket and drawn randomly. The lead couple for each group will receive a list of diners (8 people) in their group. They will contact the other members for the first supper and group introduction.

Program:

Before each dinner the host person(s) will choose a date for the supper, contact the other members, choose the menu (e.g., sit-down supper w/ wine & dessert, pizza, BBQ, potluck, theme dinner, etc.). The options and combinations are limited only by the host person’s imagination.

Lead Person:

A) Contacts the group during the month of October to arrange a time for the first supper B) Hosts the “first supper” where fellow diners are introduced C) Coordinates the rotation schedule for the group

Sponsor:

Sponsored by Queen of Peace Hospitality Ministries. Debbie & Bob Renggli are the Lead Coordinators of the Supper Club activity. For more information, or to sign up, please email: drenggli@comcast.net or call 503-363-3156.

Bon Appetit!
